The Eyre Peninsula Local Government Association (EPLGA) is a unique organisation that represents the interests of local government in the Eyre Peninsula region of South Australia. EPLGA provides a forum for elected members and staff of local government to share information and ideas, and discuss issues affecting local government. The Association also provides advocacy and support services to its members.
Introduction

Purpose

Membership in the EPLGA is open to all municipalities and counties in Eau Claire County.
Functions
EPLGA undertakes a range of activities on behalf of its members, including policy development, The organisation has a strong focus on providing excellent member services, communicating with members and promoting golf in the province.
One important way the EPLGA does this is by developing policies that help guide the sport in Newfoundland and Labrador. This includes policies related to governance, competition, facility development, membership and more. The EPLGA also engages with the government and other stakeholders to ensure that the interests of its members are well represented.
Membership
EPLGA is a representative body that consists of 10 member councils. These councils represent over 60% of the population of the Eyre Peninsula. EPLGA aims to provide a voice for all local government entities on the Peninsula and work together to achieve common goals. One such goal is to improve communication and cooperation between all levels of government. EPLGA also seeks to promote and advocate for the interests of the Eyre Peninsula region as a whole.
Structure
EPLGA is governed by a board made up of one representative from each member council. The board meets regularly to discuss the business of the association and make decisions that affect its members.
In addition to the board, the EPLGA has many committees that are responsible for specific areas of work. These committees are also made up of representatives from member councils.
